From April of ‘72, this classic from Seiko’s Daini division is affordable vintage at its very best. The dial is a striking navy sunburst with a spotless lacquer finish and well balanced layout. The applied baguette markers and long and lean and the beveled surfaces are polished to a mirror finish. The hands are well proportioned, easily legible, and the original luminous material has remained a crisp bright white. A framed window displays the day and date in English only. The date is quickset vial the crown, and the day can be semi-quickset. The case is a classic cushion tonneau with chamfered edges and a recessed crown at three. It’s unpolished and completely original aside from a replacement acrylic crystal, and post service it’s keeping near perfect time. We’ve paired it with a khaki suede strap that partners perfectly with the denim blue dial to create a timeless vintage casual that’s sure to turn heads.
