This “time only” 7001 is a rarely seen field watch with pounds of character and military appeal. The dial, which was once white, has developed an almost pearl like iridescent patina beneath the glossy lacquer finish. With no date aperture, it offers an extremely clean aesthetic that's only heightened by the stenciled luminous Arabic numbers around the dial. They too have a aged beautifully and taken on a dark khaki coloring. The polished hands offer great contrast, and are easy to read at a glance. The case and lugs are one in the same with clean continuous lines on either side of the thin beveled bezel. It’s unpolished and completely original aside from a replacement crystal, and post service it’s keeping near perfect time. We’ve paired it with an olive and barley striped adjustable NATO in keeping with it’s military styling that appears as though it was made specifically for this watch. From April of 1970, it’s an affordable head turner that's sure to get plenty of attention.
